The Domed Helical Antenna is nearly identical to the Helical antenna but is covered in a matte black dome and provides a wider beamwidth.  The Domed Helical is well suited to indoor applications where a wide coverage pattern is necessary and site-lines are a priority.

Performance is spectacular over distance and is equally good as a transmit or receive antenna.

Frequency Range/Bandwidth: 460-900 MHz

Beamwidth: 72 Degrees

Antenna Gain: 9 dBi (on axis)

Impedance: 50 Ohms

RF Connector: BNC Female

The PWS LPDA, or Log Periodic Dipole Array, ┬áantenna is a common directional antenna within the same category as “Shark Fins” or “Paddle” antennas.

It has a single polarization and a wider beam-width than the Helical antennas, but much less forward gain.

Frequency Range/Bandwidth: 460-900 MHz

Beamwidth:  Degrees

Antenna Gain:  dBi (on axis)

Impedance: 50 Ohms

RF Connector: BNC Female

Dual Mounting Adapter: 5/8″-27 U.S. Standard | 3/8″-16 European Standard

The DB Series Multicouplers serve as the ÔÇ£head-endÔÇØ of the receive antenna system. Antennas are connected to rear-panel input zone connections. Each input features overload protected remote bias power, selectable from the front panel switches. The associated indicators depict the health of the remote line amp (connected, disconnected, or shorted.) Each input has an associated front panel variable attenuated that is used to tailor the amount of gain from that antenna in order to balance the overall system. The RF signals are then split, amplified, and filtered before being presented at the rear panel for connection to individual wireless receivers.

RF Input:
Each input is provided with selectable ÔÇ£phantomÔÇØ style voltage of +12VDC for operating remote antenna amplifiers. The DB Series inputs may be used with PWS remote line amps as well as amps from other manufacturers.

RF Output:
The RF outputs are grouped into filtered outputs, for instance, a DB-16 may have one 16-way filtered output (wideband) or two 8-way outputs with separate filters ranges (2 Filter Ranges.) DB Multicouplers for microphones have symmetrical ÔÇ£AÔÇØ and ÔÇ£BÔÇØ circuits for diversity operation.

The DB Intercom Series Multicouplers serve as the ÔÇ£head-endÔÇØ of the receive antenna system. Antennas are connected to rear-panel input zone connections. The RF outputs are grouped into filtered outputs, for instance, a DBIC-16 may have one 16-way filtered output (wideband) or two 8-way outputs with separate filters ranges (2 Filter Ranges.) DB-IC units have only a single RF pathway for non-diversity operation.

PROFESSIONAL WIRELESS AUDIO RENTAL: ANTENNA COMBINERS

The GX-4 combines and amplifies the input of up to four RF IEMs into a single output. It can accept inputs from nearly any IEM transmitter from 470 MHz to 750 MHz. (For VHF Frequencies check out our VX-4!)

The PWS GX combiner/amplifiers also act as RF equalizers, due to their proprietary Automatic Level Control circuitry. Each input contains its own RF amplifier and ALC circuit, boosting each signal to 250 mW maximum. For smaller events, a low power mode keeps transmissions at a maximum of 50 mW.

The use of independent single frequency amplifiers for each IEM signal reduces distortion and drop-outs from intermodulation and interrupted transmissions. The result is all performers on stage receive outstanding audio clarity in their IEM, without the antenna farm.

The GX-8 combines and amplifies the input of up to eight RF IEMs into a single output. It can accept inputs from nearly any IEM transmitter from 470 MHz to 750 MHz. (For VHF Frequencies check out our VX-4!)

The VX-4.1 combines the input of up to four VHF RF IFB or Intercom transmits into a single output antenna while the VX-4.3 has 4 inputs and 3 outputs. They combine and amplify transmitter signals, accepting inputs from nearly any VHF IFB or Intercom transmitter from 169 MHz to 217 MHz.

The use of independent single frequency amplifiers for each input signal reduces distortion and drop-outs from intermodulation and interrupted transmissions.
