Orlando-headquartered Professional Wireless Systems has announced the debut of the Omega-8 multizone receive antenna distribution system. The announcement was made by general manager Jim Van Winkle.

“This is the first product in the new Omega series, which is replacing the DB Series products that have been in the Professional Wireless catalog for years,” explains Van Winkle. “The Omega series offers a smaller footprint and more efficient architecture with a terrific price point – this is the first of many Omega products with similar benefits.”

The Omega-8 has four sets of diversity inputs and eight sets of diversity outputs. RF filtering is at 470-616 MHz, with VHF, STL and full 470-698 MHz units also available. The unit offers DC bias power selectable per antenna input along with antenna/cable short protection and indication.

Each antenna input offers adjustable attenuation and is able to be turned off as needed. Redundant main and aux PSUs round out the package.
